In the heart of Forsaken lies a realm which beats steady and true throughout the land. The beacon for new beginnings, a rekindled hope…a light that guides the weary into her warm and safe harbors. Waevera has stood as a symbol to her native people throughout the forgotten legends and myths, as a sanctuary of peace and prosperity. The story of how Waevera came to be, is shared openly and is the most known piece of lore within the Forsaken lands. The story is the first fairy tale every child learns, and its message is often sighted in carvings and signs throughout the four realms. The lore goes as follows:
Kallente is the goddess of beauty, motherhood, and fertility. She is patroness of the hearth and home. She does not have her own world but does have a place in space, a sort of world called the House of Kallente. No other deities can enter this house.
Kallente’s home had been breached, by whom or what no one quite knew. The Goddess was forced to abandon her sanctuary and instead of retreating further off into the celestial planes, she had decided to make a stand upon the mortal realm. With only her courage and determination, Kallente came to Forsaken, emerged from the cold sea in a shining white robe and drove a mighty piece of driftwood in the sands. Dragging the driftwood deep through the earth, she walked a perimeter far and wide. Every step the Goddess took sealed the ground behind her and when she was finished, a barrier of mystical force shimmered in her wake.
As time went on, the people of the land understood that within this realm, they were safe under Kallente’s protection. There was no need to fear from the threat of outsiders looking to pillage and plunder. Though they faced the same hardships from everything else the land threatened, it was Kallente’s promise and her offer of true hope, that seemed to make life just a little bit easier.
Life in Waevera seemed almost perfect, that was until the other’s arrived…
